Alan Gerson Hevesi (b. 1940) served as NYC Comptroller 1994-2001 + NY State Comptroller 2003-2006. Resigned NY State Comptroller December 22, 2006 amid "Chauffeurgate" — using state employees to drive his ailing wife. Pleaded guilty Oct 2010 to felony pay-to-play in a $5.4B NY State Common Retirement Fund kickback scheme; served 1 year + 1 month at Mid-State CF. Restored to civil rights 2012. Father of former U.S. Rep Andrew Hevesi.
