Christopher James Christie (b. 1962) was NJ U.S. Attorney 2002-2008 + Governor 2010-2018. Bridgegate (Sept 2013) — staff orchestrated lane closures on the George Washington Bridge as political retribution. Christie was acquitted but key staffers were convicted. 2016 GOP presidential candidate (withdrew Feb); endorsed Trump; later split with Trump in 2024 primary.
